How to see if your tires are still safe…

This is a simple way of checking if it is time to change those balding tires. Take a penny and insert it into the thickest part of the tread with Lincoln’s head pointing down. If you can see the entire head even with or above the tread, you are overdue for tire replacement. That is not the only concern anymore when it comes to tires, however. The federal goverment has now placed into affect a mandate that states it is unsafe to drive a vehicle with tires on it that are more than six (6) years old based on manufacture date.
